Our Journey
The journey began with the first Batik store in Malioboro street, Margaria Batik.
1989We expanded our retail business to offer a one-stop shop for Modest Fashion, Khasanah Muslim Alfath in the same street
1995After 14 years in the retail industry, we ventured to Solo. Our founders' vision led to the creation of innovative products and our production line. Initially named Sekar Konveksi, this line was later rebranded as Kampuh Lipat in 2017. In the same year, we forayed into the beauty business, opening the first DS Salon in Yogyakarta.
2003We launched our first hamper retail store, Kadokita, to meet customer demand and interest for professionallymade gift baskets.
2007Following the successful launch of our retail brand, Karita, in 2002, we were awarded the first MURI (Indonesia’s World Record Museum) certification for the smallest foldable mukena.
2013Our first education business unit, Master Education Centre is opened .
2015We expanded into earl -stage education and launched Fawwaz Global Islamic School in Yogyakarta.
2016We launched a sister label, DS brand, specializing in Muslim apparel, prayer essential , and accessories as part of our continuous expansion efforts.
2020Despite the challenges of Covid-19, Margaria expanded to Banyumanik, Semarang, with larger production facilities and refocused DS Product distribution under the name PT Suminar Margaria Fashindo.
2022We added a new hospitality business in Yogyakarta with the launch of the first Mexica -themed hotel, Por Aqui Stay and Dine. In the same year, we were awarded a second MURI certification for our smallest foldable hand prayer mat (Sajadah Genggam dengan Lipatan Gulung terkecil).
2023Margaria Group expanded beyond its original Malioboro location to include 6 Business Units, 18 freestanding retail locations, 6 in-mall stores, 3 Production and Distribution Units, 5 Service and Hospitality Units, and 1 Education Unit.
